Dynamic content (Weather status)

    Hi there,
    This is a great plugin. I tested a number of caching plugins and the speed and ‘lightweightness’ of this one is on par with the others, if not better.
    I have one problem though, in that we use a weather forecast widget on our page: https://www.groundedlandscaping.co.za, which updates every minute. With Cache Enabler enabled it remains static. I know there is a conflict of interest between dynamic content and caching, and I also know I can exclude pages/post ID’s in the settings, but this is our home page, so is there a way to not cache a widget, perhaps by adding tags around it’s code?

  • Like you said, normally the front page is displayed by index.php which is not a WordPress page and therefore does not have a page id.

    Does your weather widget use JavaScript? If so, have you tried disabling JavaScript minification under the Cache Enabler settings?

    You can only exclude by ID. To not cache a widget is not possible.
