Site wont load, leaves warning messageabout mysqli_real_connect

  • Does anyone know how to find this and then fix this in myphp?

    My site keeps crashing and leaving this message:

    Warning: mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/2002): Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ‘/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock’ (2) in /var/www/html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1490

    can you access your site at all? If so, does it work for a while *then* you get this message?

    How are you hosting your site? On a shared hosting platform or on a VPS you manage?

    I host on google cloud platform. I have access to php my admin. I am unable to access the wp-config file and I have not been able to setup sftp cause I don’t have public and private key. Does this help?

    I’mn familiar with the Google cloud platform. Are you running your own MySQL server or using a remote one? It may be that your MySQL server is dying or being killed due to an out-of-memory condition. Check your system logs (usually /var/log/messages or /var/log/syslog)

    The site works then I get this message. The only way to get the site back working is to reset the server in compute engine. I am using a remote mysql server from google.
