fonts.googleapis.com files are slowing my site down

I am trying to speed up my site and I continually see issues with files like this.

https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Antic+Slab:400%7CPT+Sans:400,700&subset=greek-ext

What are these and is there a way to get rid of them or optimize them? ost of the issues are related to render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content, expires headers, and Gzip not compressing them.
