Love this box plugin. My one concern is that I am using it on a website that I have set it up as an “Emergency Exit”, due to it being a domestic violence site. I have disabled the “close” option so the box is always there. It shows up on every page as needed. However, when I pull it up on a mobile device the box blocks out 75% of the content. I didn’t see a way inside the edit area to adjust the size for mobile devices. I did see the “Don’t show on devices smaller than” option but I want it visible on mobile devices as well. Is there a way to do that without having to do a lot of CSS editing? A way to make it inherit the mobile settings of the template itself and auto adjust maybe? Or a way to show a stripped down version of the box when viewed on a mobile device?

    Hi Brian,

A lot of this depends on your theme but I’m sure we can come up with something. Do you have a link to your site so I can take a quick look at what would look good? ??

    Thanks in advance!

    Thank you, Danny.

You will see what I have been able to do so far. Looks good but having a hard time working with the height overall, and with the mobile device sizing. I am sure I can figure out the height adjustment issue, but the mobile devices sizing issue might stump me a bit. Not that far along in my programming class. Ha ha… Know enough to make me dangerous is about it.

Would like to be able to adjust the height along with the width of the box, and be able to adjust the padding as well. Still really like what I am able to do with this plugin.

    Hi Danny,

    This is Dorothy from SendSmith.

Your “Newsletter Sign up” plugin is super useful and we downloaded for our clients’ WP websites; we added our join mailing function API onto your source code so it can be integrated quickly.

Is it possible for you to add our SendSmith API to your plugin as well and subit to WordPress?

I have emailed you the programmed WordPress plugin source code on top of your original source.

    Many thanks,

    Dorothy @ SendSmith

PS. We have donated US$25 dated to you as a small token of gratitude.

    Hey Brian,

I checked your website but was not able to see any pop-up. When I clicked on the emergency exit link (displayed on desktop version), I was redirected to some link https://recipiesandcooking.info/todaysbest.php.

    Hey Harish,

I actually turned off the mobile device option, since it wouldn’t resize correctly. The one on the desktop version is working exactly as it should, other than I can’t adjust the height. I was hoping there was an easier way to adjust the height so that it would look better both on the desktop version, and I could adjust it to suit the mobile as well. Redirecting to multiple random site and auto-redirect sites is exactly what it is suppose to do to semi-disable the back button. So, I just need an easy way to adjust the height to make it fit the screen better and work with mobile better.

    Hi,

There would be a way to do this, but not “without css editing”
Maybe disabling on mobile is indeed the best option, as you never know how small a screen is etc.

On mobile someone can usually quickly hide a website by pressing the home button on the phone.

I would suggest to not use an image for mobile, but a link only, so it takes up less screen space. In any case, without some HTML and CSS this is indeed not possible.
