• Hi there

I have added my first blog post to my website, which uses the Twenty Eleven theme. For some bizarre reason, when I hit publish the blog post is showing up as a very narrow illegible column.

Why is this the case? Surely the default width would not be so narrow that you can’t read the post? How can I fix this simply? I’ve looked through other posts and tried altering the appearance by editing the style.css but it didn’t work so I changed it back.

Any help appreciated but please if you are kind enough to respond can you please know in advance that I am a layperson, not an IT or coding specialist, so talk to me as if I’m your grandmother.

    Thanks! Amy

  • your theme seems to be a much modified Twenty Eleven.

some of the modified styles are restricting the width of the content column and adding further padding.

where did you get that theme from?
    who modified it this way?

My website developer chose it and he was the one who created my website (how were you able to view it? I’d forgotten to say the site is at https://www.rawwords.com.au).

Actually he created another website for us, and we ended up having to get someone else to fix it because of all the modifications he’d made.

Anyone able to help me with this issue? Or am I best to contact a website developer to fix the problem.
