Changing website description in Google

Hello,

I’ve seen threads with this question before but couldn’t understand some of the subtilities of my question: how do you change your website’s description as it appears in Google?
I know it depends what the user might have typed in Google Search Bar, but my website being titled by my name, I’d like to change the description as to if people type my name in. For example if the description currently is:

Tha?s Bucks HOME: I’m a filmmaker. 00:00- 00:12. Portrait image. VIDEOGRAPHER-EDITOR,

How can I change it to :

Tha?s Bucks: I’m a filmmaker based in Zimbabwe.

>I have tried understanding how the SEO plugin works but I have no idea where I might type in a code in there (and which one).
>I think the “HOME” which is appearing after my name can’t be changed in the same way. It’s probably an option ticked somewhere where I want my HOMEpage to appear first, but then I don’t need it to be written, too. Any ideas?
