Afte change to another server

  • Hey everybody,

    My old server was: https://www.knappersack.de/wordpress and my new server is: https://www.madaera-woodwork.com

    I have huge problems with my wordpress blog since I have moved it to the new server. I am using the CUBIC Theme and I can see the blog entries, but when I click to see the actual entry it shows an error message “Error 404 File not found”.
    The admin interface works just fine.

    What do I have to change to compelte the server change. I dont get it.

    Hi Philipp, two things to check:

    First, try regenerating your permalinks under Settings > Permalinks.

    If that doesn’t work, verify your .htaccess file manually to make sure the WordPress rewrite block is being correctly added to the file.

    Does your new server have the mod rewrite Apache module installed? I think it’s needed to use Pretty Permalinks.
