wp updated now home page won't open

  • I found that most of the pics on my home page are broken this morning. has been like that for a few weeks. so i updated my plugins and wp. now my home page won’t open. the msg says there are too many redirects. don’t know what that means. so i deactivated all my plugins, didn’t help. i can open any other page if i enter the url directly, just not the home page.

    I have changed themes and tried deactivating all plugins and it is still the same. check it out please heathlansdownedesign.ca

    ok. my host has restored my site back to wp 4.4.3 and my home page opens, but the images are broken actually only the jpg images are the png’s are fine. do i need to change the jpgs to something else. why would this happen all of a sudden? also , the problems seam to be related to wp 4.5. how do i stop it from automatically upgrading further?

    Your jpg’s won’t show because the requests are being aborted because all those jpg file URL’s point to a different domain that doesn’t respond.

    That’s going to be problematic, because homecraftdesign.ca doesn’t resolve. “Server not found”.

    how do i stop it from automatically upgrading further?

    ok, i had my host restore it to an older version of wp and that seemed to fix the home page issue. the links for the images were from an old domain i let expire so i redid the links and they now work too. all is good in the world. thanks everyone for your help.
