Conflict between shipping, and Disability VAT plugin on Firefox/Opera

    To replicate/isolate this issue to its root cause, I created a new WP installation, then freshly installed only Woocommerce and the Disability VAT plugin, using twentythirteen theme with no modifications. There are no red flags in the WC status report.

    The Disability VAT plugin adds a little form to remove VAT at checkout (VAT is removed instantly via ajax). However, when shipping options are added, which also update via ajax according to the shipping country, BOTH updates stop working on Firefox and Opera. You have to refresh manually instead to see the update. Chrome is ok.

    So there is some conflict between the ajax updates when both shipping and Disability VAT plugin are wanting to update the checkout totals.

    Is there a fix for this?

    Thanks for this. The ticket is #416139. If you could chase it up that would be great.

    Just to clarify, if shipping is disabled, then the Disability VAT plugin updates the checkout totals just fine. The moment that shipping is enabled though, then the checkout totals only update with a refresh, not via ajax, for either country(shipping) or Disability VAT changes.

    Hi Mike,

    I followed your advice (thank you) to fix the jquery cookie issue, but the problem still remains. I’ve had to open a new support ticket as the last one was marked as solved (I was away this week).

    New ticket – 420514

    I can`t see any other fix opportunities from my side – and yes, it has shown up in Chrome too (contrary to my first message).

    Can you see any potential fixes in the coding of the disability/vat plugin?
