Form Submit Button

    Hi there,

    Thanks for this plugin, it works well. I’m using ajax submission and am able to capture data from subscribers, however I’ve noticed that the submit button isn’t giving any feedback when pressed.

    The user presses the button, and nothing happens for about 3-4 seconds – then the success message suddenly appears above the form. It’s a little jarring/confusing during those few seconds.

    Are there any plans to have a little loading animation, or change the text of the submit button while the request is being sent, or is that already coded in and it’s just not working for me?

    Hi levelinterface,

    That’s something that we’d like to get updated in the next release. Since the submit button is an <input> element we weren’t able to append a preloader onto it – so swapping out the text may be the next best solution.

    Another option would be to fade the form down, disable the fields and display a preloader while the process is being made – and when the response is received back from MailChimp, remove the preloader and fade back up the form, while re-enabling the fields.

    We will move this to the top of our to do for the next release.
