• I have an existing database for all of my forumns, etc. Can I just reconfigure the new wordpress blog of 2.3 in my database and then just delete the 2.5 out of my directory? I cannot delete the entire database it has way too much!

    Thanks!

  • No, you can NOT.
If you don’t have a backup of your 2.3.x database or the wp tables of it – you are out of luck.

I am using one database for several sites? So what are you saying I need to back it up and reinstall it on every server?
    HELP!

How do I get 2.5 to work on my site then so I do not have to delete anything@!!!

    Thanks!

First, you should learn to aks questions that make sense.

Is this an upgrade or a new install? If it is an upgrade from 2.3.x to 2.5 and you didn’t make a backup of the 2.3.x database tables, there is no way to go back. Period.

If it is a new install but you want to erase it…
Do you have access to your database? If yes, why can’t you just select the WP tables and drop them. Also, delete the 2.5 files via FTP.
Then do a 2.3.x new install?

    Which part is so complicated?
