I see that when I post a new recipe, I cant see it anywhere in my post categories, which means they are stored somewhere else, most likely in your servers.

If it is so, can you explain why you do this?

No offense, but in the past, I have seen some free recipe plugins post user recipes on their own servers, use them as if they are their own property, some of them even sold them to big brands.

one more thing, is the printer-friendly version indexed by google? cause it may cause duplicate content.

Can you please explain a little here.

    thanks

  • Hi Air Dates,

    Thanks for you question.
The recipes are stored in a separate table in your WordPress database.

We do not store, steal or have any recipe of yours or a even a part of it. Nor do we post your recipe anywhere!

The printer friendly version is generated using JavaScript and it’s not a direct link that Google can link to, so they won’t be able to treat it as a traditional page with a URL. It’s literally generated when you click the Print button ??

If you have any other question you can always email me at [email protected].

    Cheers,
    -Gezim

    Hi HappyGezim,

Great to see such a prompt response.
And I loved the javascript idea.

    A few things;

    1. Can you allow adding images for each of the Instructions and seperate each step?
    2. Is it possible to post ingredients as custom post types to show up on google recipe searches?
    3. Is the plugin recipe markup ready out of the box, even though we embed them in to the posts, which means do they show up on google as recipes with images?

    thanks
