• Hello all,

I’ve bee hunting around the support for Woocommerce for a solution/setting/work-around, and as of yet I haven’t found one.

The Tax Rates in my store are working fine, but we are trying to display what Tax Rate is being used on that product or the variant thereof.

For example, Adult clothing is taxable, but children’s clothing isn’t. they Product could be the same design, colour etc… just the size is the only variable. So when the customer chooses a Size the price changes accordingly and the respective Tax Rate is shown.

    Any thoughts?

I suspect it will be a line of PHP that calls the Tax Rate for that variable of the product, or something to that effect.

    Many Thanks,

Is there a specific reason for this? Even in the case you presenting, the ‘rate’ name is the same (VAT), it’s just the % that differs. WC handles the differing % and presents the correct cost etc.

It’s not possible to get just 1 rate for each product – we support multiple rates, so for some users they could have 1 product with say state, country, and city taxes all at once. The relation between rate and product is more complicated.

Thanks for the prompt response, Mike.

Is there a way to display which tax is being used on the price shown on the product page?

It could be confusing to customers who are not sure whether the price is incl/excl or even Zero rated.

    Thanks,

We don’t offer a way out of the box. You can filter price html, but you’d need to output something based on tax class (?) I’d expect.
