Preventing Selection also prevents selecting media display settings dropdowns

The “Prevent Selection” option (that I love so much!) unfortunately also prevents me from changing the size of my pictures in the media section of my dashboard. It also disables some other things to do with drop down arrow selections ?? Will this be fixed in the future?
