Cannot add menu sub category, redirects to homepage, no changes

  • Hi,

    Am having a problem. Have a site with a number of menu items. I needed to add a new sub menu. Did the usual thing in appearance blah blah. When I click save, I get exited out of my admin panel and sent to the homepage.

    I have tried deactivating all plugins and reactivating.
    I have tried to rewrite my security iTheme Security in the htaccess file.
    I have tried adding code to htaccess that increases some value, but it just made my admin screen crash.
    I have contacted my server who says that its my iTheme Security blocking access to my htafile but no fix on iTheme nor WP.

    Not sure what more I can do. Can anyone assist?
