The Database upgrade page

    I am giving up on my ‘Error Establishing a Database Connection’ after (I think) I have upgraded my database to suit the 2.5 code.
    What should happen when I go to https://mydomain.com/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php
    All I get is a blank page in my browser and the word ‘done’ in the bottom corner.
    Is this correct or should I be getting more?

    Started from scratch and loaded a brand new installation and used the old config file and I never needed to use the upgrade link. I got to click on an ‘update button’. Much easier.
