activating primary language, sends me to ither

I have a web (beharradaukat.eus) and it has 2 languages (spanish and basque).By default it goes to spanish, but if I try to change it to go to basque by default (activating basque as default language in the plugin admin) it doesnt work, and sends me to “beharradaukat.eus/es_ES”
Why?
