I have went through all the tutorials, troubleshooting, and documentation to resolve the issue of why the Booking information is not displaying in the event section.

I have reset/uninstalled/deactivate/activate/switched themes/copied and paste code/Settings section is on according to the documentation….nothing.

What else can it be? I am working with the Prayer WordPress Theme from Envato.

I have created workarounds to “act” like Events Manager, but I’ve purchased the theme with Events Manager.

    Please help.

    Thank you.

  • Can you clarify what you mean by, “I have created workarounds to “act” like Events Manager”?

Events Manager should work independently of the theme. Can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme?

Workarounds, as in using Contact Form 7 as my email auto responder, ticket tracking (via email), and ticket booking limit. And Microsoft Excel to keep a log of bookings, costumers email, etc.

I did all of the theme technique suggestions in the Events Manager documentation. Switch themes (which was destructive to all the work I did), deactivated/reactivate plugins (again, destructive).

All the operations of Events Manager seems to be working fine. I click on Booking/Registration option, create tickets, price, everything. I go to update, no errors. But when I view the event on the page, there is nothing.

Do you mean the list of events in admin or the list of events on your site?

    (@yoshimon)

List of events on the site. The section where people can get tickets don’t show up, even with everything checked off and settings is (or seems to be) correct.

Even resetting the Events Manager plugin itself didn’t work.

Does the page where you want to show the events list have either the CONTENTS placeholder or the [events_list] shortcode?

    Thread Starter yoshimon

    (@yoshimon)

    No, nothing like that.

You need to add one of those two placeholders.

I tried doing that, however I think the syntax I am using is incorrect. How is this done?

The documentation isn’t help out as much.

    just to confirm,

but I’ve purchased the theme with Events Manager.

can I know which theme is this?

    Prayer WordPress Theme from Envato.

What is the syntax for adding the two placeholders on the page for the booking information?

Just open the page up in WordPress and add CONTENTS.

If that doesn’t work, use [events_list] instead.

Depending of how you’ve got the plugin set up, one of those should work.

OK, adding CONTENTS didn’t work, but [events_list] did.

So, we know the shortcodes work. Is there a shortcode/placeholder for the ticket/booking information to be displayed for people to book tickes?

Here’s a full list of all the shortcodes and placeholdrs that can be used:

    https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/shortcodes/

    https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/placeholders/

OK, following/using the example as a test, this is displaying:

    #_MAP
    Date/Time
    Date(s) – #_EVENTDATES
    #_EVENTTIMES

    Location
    #_LOCATIONLINK

    Category(ies)
    #_CATEGORIES

    #_NOTES
    {has_bookings}

    Bookings
    #_BOOKINGFORM
    {/has_bookings}

So, the “#_BOOKINGFORM” is actually showing up, instead of the actual booking form. What am I missing here? (Note: Shortcodes work fine)

That placeholder can only be used within Events Manager settings.

If you’re trying to add several booking forms to a single page, that’s not possible.
