• I am trying to set up a hockey league with your fantastic plug in. I would like to create a “box score” for games. With the free version, it doesn’t not appear to have a place to enter things like time of goal, goal/assists, as well as time of penalty, player/infraction.

I have found a few threads in this support forum that indicate this was a event timeline feature that it was in the works just prior to 0.4.2 (2 years ago), and then another thread where “event highlights” was going to be added to the next version (1 year ago).

I’m hoping that it was eventually released and its either a misconfig on my part, or part of the pro version, which would be great and I’d purchase it. However, I can’t seem to find any indication or feature chart for the pro version to verify.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi there!

We do have all these match data options if you want them. You can add pretty much all of it under the events creation page

    That is fantastic news!
I apologize, but I can’t seem to find where to add that data. I am guessing it is the “Match Data” option that is part of the premium version of the plug-in? I am ready to purchase if it includes that. Is there any demo site that allows me to see that feature in action?

    Thank you!

    Hi there!

We do have this for the free version in case you want to give it a try. You can configure that under SportsPress > Configure, so any match-related or player-related stats can be added there

Thank you very much for your reply. I have the free version installed and running, and have looked over the SportsPress->Configture section, but I can’t seem to find a place to enter the data I am hoping for. (I apologize! I don’t see a match data section, just the Event Outcomes, Results and Player Performance relating to events)

Perhaps if I give a more specific example of the data I am hoping to enter, you can let me know which section.

For a hockey game, the match data I would expect would be the Penalties and Scoring tables on the lower part of this page: https://echl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=13801

    Penalties
Period Team Player Time Infraction PIM
    1 – MO Nowick, 6:31 – Holding – minor, (54.2) 2 min (PP)
    1 – MO Aneloski, 9:21 – Delay of Game, (63.2) 2 min (PP)

    Scoring
Period Team Player scoring (Player assist, Player assist) Type
    1. ALN Hanson, (6) (Stevenson, Asuchak), 4:33
    2. MO Verhaeghe, (2) (Johnston, Holmstrom), 5:30

I know that I enter the goals, assist and penalty minutes in the BoxScore section of an event, but I’d like to enter the above timeline data for the game if possible. Is that something in the Pro version?

    Thanks again for your help!

    Hello!
I wanted to follow up on this to see if there are any ideas on this type of stat timeline for events. From what I can tell, this is not possible in the free version or the paid version (I just purchased the paid version and don’t see anything different relating to Match Stats).

Just thought I’d double check to see if I am missing anything?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi @corij

I have a hockey website with SportsPress Pro too, but haven’t figured out a way to do my own custom Box Scores yet.

I am still working on adding more to my website so I haven’t researched it much at all, but it would be awesome if they could include it in a future update.

@corij @chazmo99 Thanks for your feedback! I’m adding this feature to our roadmap and aiming to include it in a future update.
