    Hi there,

I have specific widgets on my pages and posts (namely, to give the user the latest updates and an easy way to log in and log out of the site.

When viewing the Ad categories everything works fine. When viewing an individual ad however, the sidebar goes away.

Is there a way to ad these Widgets on the adverts pages or is there a way to tell the adverts to use my “page” style (so that it applies automagically)?

    Thanks!

  • Actually there is nt a way to do so. But i suggest you should use your theme. How? Try to add log in and log out url in the menu of you theme it will be more fine and look professional.

About other widgets, i dont think if its a fine idea to try to make them work in the ad view. For an advice the ad view should contain related ads only at the bottom, and thats how it works automatically.

Thanks Jockerjr. Unfortunately, having login/logout in my menu is not suitable at this time. It’s placement in the widgets bar on the right side of my menu works great everywhere except for the single ad view.

I use the generatepress theme and on single ad page the sidebar is showing fine. think that could be a theme problem.

This mainly depends on the theme, specifically on single.php file in your current theme directory, if it does not use sidebar then your Ad details will not have sidebar as well.

This can be changed but will require at least some PHP and WP API knowledge, see Custom Post Type Template chapter here https://wpadverts.com/documentation/child-themes-and-templates/, once you have a single-advert.php file you will need to customize it to include the sidebar.
