This is a great, clean plugin for a Gallery. Very simple. I’d like to add a bit of functionality but not sure it’s possible. Example: A client has 3 Projects on one page. They want to showcase each with 1 thumbnail. So it’s a simple page with 3 thumbnails. I’d like each thumbnail to launch a different Gallery (or Set of Images). So I bundle all images related to the first with a data tag like “project1” and only project 1 images are pulled into the lightbox. Then “project2”, etc. Possible with this plugin?

  • Hey @jhample.

Thanks for the question and for taking featherlight for a spin ??

WP Featherlight just acts as a lightbox for WordPress and Jetpack galleries. As far as I know there isn’t a way to configure those galleries to behave the way you’re describing. They all display the entire gallery in a grid or tile layout, and all of the images you see in the post or page are the ones that are displayed in the lightbox.

What you’re looking for is probably going to be found in a more robust gallery plugin. Something like Envira Gallery or Foo Gallery.

    Best of luck!
