W3TC 0.9.4.1 MultiViews htaccess bug = error 500 on cache/minify/000000/ files

  • W3 Total Cache is not working on php hosting services with MultiViews not allowed.

    I have to remove the Options -MultiViews line from /wp-content/cache/minify/000000/.htaccess file every time I purge the cache or save new settings.

    Manual fix:
    remove or comment line 539 out
    //$rules .= "Options -MultiViews\n";
    in wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/lib/W3/MinifyAdminEnvironment.php
