Signup Request Has Failed. Try Again

  • I have two free, standard memberships available. However, whenever someone tries to register for one of them an error message appears, “The signup request has failed. Try again.” They are registered as a user in wordpress but not as a member.

    I am using the most current version of the plugin.

    Please help resolve this issue.

    Are you by any chance using Mailchimp integration add on? We’ve had similar issues and it’s something that we’re currently working on.

    Chiming in here. I was using the Mailchimp integration and faced the same error. After switching it off, registrations worked fine.

    Hello Brian C. Welch,

    Did you by any chance had set the same MailChimp list for all three options in the MailChimp add-on?
    If yes, this is issue – they had be three separate lists because when registering and joining there is process to unsubscribe from first list and then subscribe to second list… and MailChimp does not allow to unsubscribe and subscribe again to the same list with API. This is causing error and therefore errors when joining memberships.

    So – three separate lists in MailChimp add-on for three options should fix this issue.
