Upgrading 2.3 compatible themse to 2.5?

  • Hi guys

    Sorry if this has been answer somewhere. I tried but can’t find an answer.

    Are there some step by step instructions to upgrade a 2.3 compatible custom theme to new version. i.e. 2.5? It will really help getting things back to work as I am getting trouble after upgrading to 2.5

  • Themes by nature are vastly different and use the WordPress system in many different ways, making step-by-step instructions pretty much impossible.

    My only advice is to check for any WordPress functions in the theme files and check out their pages in the Codex. See if they have changed in any way.

    Things such as the_permalink() or the_title() won’t change. I don’t know which functions have changed in this version though.
