Sidebars suddenly disappeared

    I’m using 3 custom Content Aware Sidebars on the home page of a blog site and they were working fine. When I moved the order of the search widget in one of the Sidebars, the other 2 Sidebars completely disappeared from the page.

    I created several beta sites and was able to replicate this repeatedly. I also disabled all other plugins on the site and the problem still happened.

    The site was created last September and at the time everything worked fine. This situation occurred before and after updating to WordPress 4.5 in my tests and the latest version of the Content Aware Sidebars plugin.

    The theme is one from ThemeForest called MiniBuzz, which has several built in extra sidebars, which I am replacing on the home page only with the Content Aware Sidebars.

    What would cause the other sidebars to disappear just from altering a widget in a third sidebar?

    When the sidebars dissappear, will they then reappear if you refresh the page? And do they dissappear on the frontend too?

    I do think that the problem might be caused by an incompatibility with your theme, but as it is a premium theme I cannot test it myself. If possible, can you create an admin account for jv [at] intox.dk so I can take a look?

    I am using a child theme of Twenty Fourteen and experiencing the same problem. Upgraded to WP 4.5.1 today and sidebars are gone.

    Apologies. Because we are using a wiki plugin, we’ve added extra code to the functions file in order to display the sidebars, which was what caused the problem (as the theme was updated and the code overwritten). Have now moved that code to the child theme functions file and don’t expect the problem to come up again.
