Hi, I don’t really know if this is even a big deal, but I couldn’t help but notice that https://www.mydomain.com/feed/ still displays even when site is in maintenance mode. The only real issue is that some of sites are in maintenance mode are currently still being worked on, and these feeds contain my username on the feed. Now I know that I can simply change the display name on my posts that I’ve made, and that will generally make it harder for hackers to figure out my username, and try to login, plus I always use really long and hard to crack passwords, but still its even the fact that they can see feed while in maintenance mode. Is there possibly a fix for this?

  • Came across your post following having another maintenance plugin stop working. I assume that wordpress has changed something in the core that these plugins required to work. Unfortunately wordpress’s plugin directory never gets cleaned so it is hit or miss finding an alternative supported plugn that works.

    Hello @dacarterco,

Have you tried to delete feed from exclude list (plugin settings)?

    Best regards,
    George
