how to change the set default language for the existing?Please help

  • I’ve installed Polylang on the existing site with content, menus, etc, and added 2 languages straightforward.
    After that I’ve I clicked to set a default language, and oops, the wrong one was set as a default. And it marked all the existing content with that language!
    I tried to change it several times, even reinstalled plugin, but it still shows the same. I already changed a default language, but the point is that all the existing content is still marked with the wrong one.

    Please, advise how can I change/reset the default language for the existing content?

    Hi!

    If you didn’t make anything else with the plugin, the easiest is to uninstall and install it again:
    1. Go in Settings > Languages > Settings > Tools and check the option “Remove all Polylang data when using the “Delete” link on the plugins screen”.
    2. Go in your plugin list and de-activate then delete the plugin (red link).
    3. Install the plugin as you did the first time.

    Otherwise you can manually change the language of your posts. Bulk edit is possible to avoid you to edit them one by one.
