Installing 2nd wordpress

If you try to change the name of this new directory, does it work?
Is it with a specific name, or any folder name?

No didnt work tried that.. Also tried a new directory in another directory.. Not helping

Please allow me to ask a few more questions to try to narrow down the problem.

Do you currently have other installs that are working in different directories/folders? What’s your hosting company?

Yes, the wordpress site in the root folder is working and in the directory (which is https://www.example.com/something ). There used to be another one, i deleted that one (in hope i was able to make a new one i didn’t use it anyway.. but that was in vain)

I have it hosted on mijndomein.nl, i tried to contact them but they ain’t responding..

This might be an issue with the .htaccess file within the subdirectory.

Thank you i tried the option with the .htaccess but that didnt work..

I clicked the link in your link https://maurisource.com/en/2-htaccess-bypass-wp-404-not-found-install-error-subfolder/

and it said 404 not found.. Lol!

BOTH wordpress installs have to be in subfolders of root, as in root/site1 and root/site2. is your first wordpress install in a subfolder?

Yes they are, and there WAS also one in the root but i moved it.. Still not working

Apparently filezilla had issues.. I deleted everything from filezilla, re-installed everything (and no there was no filezilla update).. Logged into the FTP and there it was.. I am now able to do everything i want..
