    Hi,

I am getting the following message since the latest update of this plugin:

To make your site as secure as possible, take a moment to setup the Wordfence Web Application Firewall:

There is no option to disregard it. Can I just ignore it or should I do the configuration that is requiring?

    Thanks,
    CKing

  • Hi CKing,

If you do not want WAF on your site, go to the Firewall tab and select Disable. You’ll still have all the other security benefits of Wordfence.

    Hi Brian,

Thank you for your quick response.

Please forgive my ignorance but I can’t find the “disable option”.

The option I can see is:
Go to Wordfence –> Firewall and the only option I can see is:
Automatically switch to Enabled Mode on:

This one was checked as default. I unchecked and saved but the message doesn’t go away.

Is it what you meant or is there something else?

    Thanks again,
    CKing

    Hi CKing,

The drop-down box that says “Learning Mode” above that is where you can disable it.

Currently, the configuration box at the top of the page won’t be removed, but we’re releasing an update shortly, so that you can dismiss that box if you don’t want to complete the extra setup steps.

    Thank you, Matt!

I selected “disable” for “firewall status” and saved it but the message still shows up.

It is not a big deal and we just wait till you release the new update.

    Cheers,
    Cking
