I should probably mention that I am trying to use the Custom Menu widget to display a menu from the main site, in a widget area of a subsite (several of them, actually). So I’ve created my menus normally on the main site, then I go to the subsite, and select “pull” checkbox, and choose the main site from the dropdown menu.

With WP 4.4.2 the menu selection would change immediately, and I could select a menu from the main site. But it would not stick.

Also, I was able to select a subsite menu, and have it display on the main site (but not vice versa).

With 4.5, the menu selection dropdown does not change when I choose a different site to pull from. Saving just sends me back to seeing a button that says “Widget Context”.

And with 4.5 I can’t get menus to work from anywhere, regardless of where the widget is located.

I hope that will help in diagnosing what might be wrong.

Thanks for the report. I was able to trace down the problem and reproduce the bug when trying to pull data from the main site.

I have pushed a new version (1.1.1) that addresses this issue. Can you please update to 1.1.1 and test it again?

    Thanks

So far so good! Just tested on a sandbox site, and it looks good. I’ll continue testing on the real site and let you know if anything else comes up. Thanks so much!!
