As it turns out, RPS Image Gallery does not specify an image height, only the image size to use. It is up to your Media settings to determine whether the images are the same height. For example, sites will typically configure RPS Image Gallery to use the thumbnail size, normally cropped to a 1:1 dimension, as the small (gallery) image. Have a look at the Media Settings codex page for information about setting image sizes. Hope this information helps.

It was cropped when I first opened the plugin but after changing the size in the WordPress settings area it made it impossible to go back to the cropped version.

I know how to set the sizes and even tried a plugin called “Easy Image Sizes” which works very well. I’m just not sure what is causing the problem.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Also thank you for the super quick reply too.

Glad to help. What are your settings in the RPS Image Gallery options under the Image Sizes tab?

Were you able to get the image size settings to be recognized or do you still need some help? Just let us know.

I think I found the main problem. Thumbnails aren’t getting refreshed for some reason. Can you add an option to refresh /rewrite the thumbnails if needed?

Understood. There is a nice plugin to handle the refresh of thumbnails. Have a look at Regenerate Thumbnails. Let us know if it addresses the issue for you.

We are going to go ahead and mark this topic as resolved. Give the latest version of RPS Image Gallery a try (v2.2.1) for some additional controls over image sizing when you set the gallery theme to “none”. This will rely on your theme for the gallery styling but still allow the slideshow functionality.
