Bypass login if from local network

    I performed my first WordPress install and got it up running fine, it will be a simple corporate intranet, mainly corporate news and announcements.

    We would like the entire page to be visible from our local network, but still accessible from the outside with login/password.

    I got the network part working but it always requests a password to enter the site. Can i make it skip the login page when viewed from our local IP range?

    I installed the Google Apps Login so it is very simple to login, but still, users won’t like to click to login every day…

    You say you are using the Google Apps login plugin, does that mean your company is using Google Apps for Work/Business? If so the Google Apps Login plugin claims to allow one-click login if you employees are already logged into their Google Accounts.

    One plugin you may be interested in is Clef. This is a popular 2FA plugin that uses your mobile. They have a similar system to single sign on as mentioned here.

    Yes, its one click with Google Apps Plugin once i’m signed in, but you know users… chances are they will not click and there will be nothing preventing them from going weeks without reading the intranet. They only thing i can guarantee is that the intranet will be their browser start page.
    It is a LAMP installation by the way, idk if i can do it in WordPress or Apache.

    Ops, right after this post i found the plugin i need, its called IP Based login, there is a fix in their support forum to make it work in WordPress 4.4.2.
