Pageable Container – Twenty Thirteen Theme

I am trying to edit a child theme of Twenty Thirteen. Some of the pages contain pageable containers but when I look at the options in WordPress for the pageable sections it’s basically limited to different styles of dots … I want to add as a minimum previous and next buttons and more advanced options paging navigation if possible if the optin is available?

My WordPress knowledge is limited so any help is much appreciated …
