Custom "practice sheet" for each student

I am trying to put an online music lessons website together. I have experimented with all of the Learning Management Systems out there and none of them fit what exactly I’m trying to do. I am not looking for a standard LMS because they all have a very linear course path and I am looking for something that has a more non-linear path.

Currently in my real life lessons, I use a relatively advanced excel file for each student. When I mark a particular lesson as “complete”, a few other lessons become highlighted and those are now on that students’ practice sheet. For example, when I mark “Snare Drum – 1” as complete, “Mallets – 1” and “Rudiments – 1” become highlighted and are now what that student should practice. As this process grows exponentially, each student typically ends up on a slightly different path that is unique to them, as opposed to a standard “Lesson 1, Lesson 2, Lesson 3, etc…” linear path.

I am looking for a way to recreate this excel functionality in WordPress so that each student can have their own unique path based on what they complete. I just need a way to basically create a custom “practice sheet” for each user, based on what they mark as complete. All of the lessons themselves will just be on regular pages so that each registered user can access them all at any time.

I have been searching for weeks and still haven’t found any plugin that could duplicate that process, so I’m just looking for possible suggestions from anyone! Thanks in advance!
