corrected tagline still shows incorrectly when I tag my website

  • Hello! Let me just say that I am a newbie, I did create my website, which made me pretty proud. However, when I tag my website from say Facebook, it is misspelled but when I go to the “settings” “general” on my dashboard, it is correct. How would I update this?

  • Hi, The problem is that where you are posting the link from your website from is cached. For Facebook, you need to clear Facebook’s cache of your website to get any new edits you made. To do this

    1. go to https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
    2. enter you url
    3. click debug
    4. click fetch new scrape info
    5. go to facebook, if already there, refresh the page
    6. enter in the url in your facebook post and the new info for your site should appear
