• Hello,

    I’m hoping you can help me quickly. I just went live with my site and this new processor and I have two issues;
    1. Refunds aren’t processing from WooCommerce. I’ve sent a partial and full refund from WooCommerce about 40 minutes ago and it’s not appearing in Paypal. I’ve received the emails from WooCommerce that the refunds were processed but nothing actually happens. I tried another Paypal plugin last week in my staging environment and the same thing was happening. Would you know why?

    2. It appears that transactions are being pre-authorized under my first name “LISA”. I’ve seen this personally with my Amex card. How do I change that to my business name?

    Thank you!
    Lisa

    I resolve the refund issue….still concerned about the pre-auth issue.

    I’m not sure I fully understand what you’re referring to with the pre-authorization.

    Are you setting the transaction type to Authorization in the plugin? Are you testing with your own credit card and seeing the name LISA instead of your business name, or where exactly are seeing Lisa?

    I’m sorry…when I login to American Express it shows a pending amount for $1.04 from LISA…which is my name. I’ve never seen that at Amex before though.
    Thanks.

    So you ran a test order for $1.04 on your site, with the type set to Authorization in the plugin settings, and you see the $1.04 in your Amex account with your name?

    I guess you must be using Payments Pro, right? Or are you using PayPal Express with guest checkout?

    The name that shows up on the person’s credit card is available to adjust in your PayPal account profile, but depending on what version of Pro you’re using it could be in a different place.

    Do you just have an account with https://www.paypal.com or did they also give you a https://manager.paypal.com login?

    Actually the transaction was for $0.04. I am using Paypal Payments Pro (DoDirect). My payment action is set to “SALE”, not Authorize.

    I have a Paypal and Paypal Manager account.

    Thanks for your help.

    With DoDirectPayment you should be able to set that in your PayPal account profile. From the regular https://www.paypal.com login, go into your profile and into seller preferences. You should see where you can set your business name for credit card statements.
