Live Version different from the one in Displayed in Customizer

I am developing a theme for my third year project in Uni and now that it is almost ready to submit for review I thought it would be a good idea to test it live on my website.

Here comes the problem, once installed, the live version of my website doesn’t look anything like my localhost one because it doesn’t follow the displayed parameters that I’ve set in the customizer section in my functions.php. Meanwhile, the customizer displays everything as it should be.

I would appreciate any information that could lead towards solving this problem.
