Access for WP users – allow reading chat

    I’m unhappy about the access options provided, unfortunately.
    When setting it to “All” and forcing a username messaging is boosted too much. Access for WP users only does not encourage enough on the other hand as you cannot see the recent content of the chat. Private channel or password protection is also too restricted.

    Would be so perfect to restrict sending messages for wp users only, but allow all visitors to read the chat.
    Is this something inside the possibilities of this plugin?

    Yes, in General settings you have the option “Read-only For Anonymous”. If you enable this all users that are not logged in as WP users can only read the chat and cannot post any messages (there is no input field in this case).

    In the version 2.2 you will even have an option to select which user roles has read-only access.

    Just works perfect with “Access mode: All” and ticking “Read-only For Anonymous” now ??
