Pictures Show Up Horizontal When Uploaded Via App

I am using the WordPress app to upload photos to post on our page. I am running into something that started recently. When I take the photo and upload it to the media library using the android app it shows up vertical and normal in the app but when I go to the media library on my desktop and try to use the pics for a post they all show horizontal and I have to put them in the post horizontal for them to show up vertical in the published post. I don’t know what has changed.
