Embedded chat on contact page?

    I’m trying to add an embed chat on my contact page, instead of the usual inline chat everywhere else on the site. I don’t mind the inline chat on the site, but was thinking it’s be nice to have the embed chat only on the contact page.

    I’m unable to choose embed from the plugin settings page, so when I try to code provided in the software and hit update, I get a WordPress error. Also tried the [tawkto] shortcode but realized it only injects what is in the plugin settings.

    Hi Pete,

    You would need to create an embed type widget and use it outside of the actual plugin, and just paste the widget code on that specific page.

    You could also add the plugin for all other pages, and just “Exclude” the page slug that has the embed page on it, through the tawk.to settings in the WordPress plugin.

    The exclude option is new right? Cause I don’t remember it being there last time. I got so many WordPress error messages after trying to embed a chat into a page, but I finally got it working. Don’t ask me how though, I still don’t know exactly how I did it ??
