I’ve just installed this theme and have to say that I like it and am considering going Premium.

There are 2 things I can’t figure out:

    1) The blog page is displaying full width with no space between the navigation bar and the first blog title (none of the other pages are). Can I change this?

    2) How can I change what shows in the sidebar (it’s only displayed on the blog page)? It currently has a search bar which I don’t want.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Generally widgets are either in theme options or in Appearance->Widgets->Blog Sidebar

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

I can’t change the sidebar on the blog page in theme options and if I look at Appearance->Widgets I don’t have a Blog Sidebar and all of the other Sidebars that are available are empty.

Do you know if I can change the display from full width? It looks awful.

@quinnsne, have you tried looking for what you want in the Customizr interface? This theme confused my workflow at first as I expected everything to be under Appearance but most of the options appear within the left sidebar when using Customizr.

    Hi there,

Can you link me to your site so I can see what’s causing your site to go full width?

Also, the widgets you’re seeing are the default widgets in the theme.

To remove them, either add your own widget into the widget area in “Appearance > Widgets”, or remove the sidebar completely: https://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/choosing-sidebar-layouts/

    Let me know ??

Wow, thanks for the quick replies! I’ve managed to fix the sidebars ?? All pages are still showing full width though. I’d forgotten that I’d posted this and was working on the site until 1.00 am this morning – I’ve just created another post about the page width which included the layout settings (I’ll make it as resolved now). This is what I posted:

I just installed GP yesterday and then updated to Premium last night. I’m loving the theme so far but my pages seem to be displaying as full width and for the life of me I can’t figure out how to change it.

    My layout settings are:

    Container width: 1000 px
    Content layout: separate containers
    Sidebar layout: content / sidebar
Blog sidebar layout: content / sidebar
Single post layout: content / sidebar
Header, navigation and footer width are all set to full

I though there might be an option in Edit page to change the page width but I can’t see it.

    My site is quinnsne.co.uk

    Thank you!

I’m using Beaver Page Builder – could that be causing the problem?

I wanted to have a look at Sections so clicked Yes next to Use Sections on my Rates & Packages page. I then changed it back to No but now every time I try to launch the page builder I see the following:

    No sections added!

I’ve checked and Use Sections is definitely set to No

    Hi there,

Since Sections is a premium plugin of ours, I can’t provide support on www.remarpro.com for it.

However, I noticed you’ve started a topic on our forums, so is it ok if we continue there?

    Let me know ??
