• Hi,

I posted something similar in another thread, but then, I found a more recent thread (from 6 months ago) in which the Mailpoet staff seemed to claim the issue resolved once and for all with the version of Mailpoet they were putting out. So I thought it might be best to start another thread.

Here’s what happens: When I try to duplicate a newsletter, I get a 404 message saying the page I’m looking for can’t be found. When I try to save one, only the name remains and when I try to build one up and send it right-away, nothing gets sent.

It worked fine for two weeks, then last Tuesday it stopped working. I tried installing the latest version (2.7.1), but it didn’t solve the problem. Mailpoet is the last thing I installed, so it can’t be because of a new plugin. And I haven’t updated any plugins (nor WordPress itself) since installing Mailpoet.

I find it odd that people have been having this issue since, at least, 8 months ago, yet, when I installed it, it worked fine…and now it doesn’t.

I asked my host to disable the security, and that worked, but there’s no way I’m going to keep the security feature off just so I can use Mailpoet.

Has any solution (other than disabling security) been found? I like Mailpoet and I’d like to keep using it.

    Thank you
    Simon Landry

  • I’d like to keep using MailPoet, too.
I’m almost in the same situation.
    Can this message help you?

@simonla this seems related to the security issue and if you can’t leave it disabled, I’m afraid there’s nothing else we can do. If you want us to have a better look at it, please go here: https://support.mailpoet.com/wordpress-forums/

It seems pretty clear that the issue is with the security code. If there is no solution to this, unfortunately, I’ll have to stop using Mailpoet. It’s a shame because it was really good.

I have to say, though, that I’m a bit disappointed with your solution to the issue. You’re essentially asking your users to make their websites vulnerable to attack so they can keep using your product. I’m sure there’s a way to make Mailpoet work with the security code in place (although programming is beyond me). I hope, you will find it some day and this will no longer be a problem, because Mailpoet is a great plugin.
