Hi, if you are using a cache plugin did you also add an exclusion to your cache plugin in regards to the shopping cart page?

Can you also enabled Debug Mode and check the log file.

    In regards to your comment.

My site is non-functional as a result

Are you saying that you don’t have a website up and running any more or that simply you shopping cart is not working?

    Thank you

Hi–thanks for replies. I’m using WordPress Simple Paypal Shopping Cart. I don’t see a debug tab for this plugin. Is there one available? I’m OK with most problems, but not familiar with code. Please explain the “exclusions” comment. I’m not familiar with that. Site is live, just my products (publications) page is not fully functional because of this problem. Page is here: https://www.oregonarchaeological.org/publications/
To see an item that is not working right, scroll down and look at “Rock art of the Oregon Country” Book. Thanks again DM

Hi, lets try the following. Delete the cache from your cache plugin. Then disable the cache plugin. Clear your browser cache, then carry out a test? Report back.

    Thank you

I tried that. Nothing different. I have also just spoken to my ISP. We deleted cache on the server end, and it had no effect. Same error message. They say there is likely a problem with the upgrade to latest version of the plugin. Not all the items on that page give the error message. They suggested re-entering the shortcode for the effected items. BUT–I have not altered those shortcodes since I set up the page three years ago. Do you have any other ideas?

    Thanks again David

Can you share the shortcodes you are using?

    Thank you

This is a shortcode that works fine–
[wp_cart:Seeking Bear The Petroglyphs of Lucerne Valley Wyoming:price:23.00:shipping:5.00:end]

And this is a shortcode that is malfunctioning–
    [wp_cart:Lorings’ Legacy:price:16.00:shipping:4.00:end]

All were entered at the same time, except the latest one, which is the top example. I always cut and pasted–
    Thanks

Hi, can you try the following shortcodes.

    This is an example.

    [wp_cart_button name=”Test Product” price=”19.95″ shipping=”4.99″]

THAT WORKED!!!! I can see the difference in the shortcode you provided, compared to the one I was using. I will try replacing some of the others and see if they function correctly. I’ll report back after I test those out. thanks!!!

Hi–I’m very happy to report that they all work fine! Here’s the page: https://www.oregonarchaeological.org/publications/
It’s clear to me that the shortcode format had changed since I set up the page three years ago. It would have been helpful if I had been informed of that change when upgrading to latest version of the plugin.
Thank you so much for your help! Great service.
