• I am fairly new to WP and need guidance on how to resolve a ‘potential’ security breach for my 10 ecommerce theme sites.

    Platform: WP
Theme: Covert Store Builder from Internet Marketing Wealth Builders
    Affilate Program: Amazon Associates

In recents months new-miscellaneous-undesireable-low cost-off brand-low quality products for 9 of my 10 storefronts have begun to appear which seriously threaten the integrity of my CSB-based business. Example: I refresh one of my CSB storefronts with top, leading-edge branded products day 1 and a week later these products still exist on my storefront, however, 5-10 “undersireable” products also appear. This is most noticeable on the products ‘rotator’, however, it selectively occurs under my Menu-Catergory-specific post areas as well.

I have been in direct contact with Amazon.com’s Affiliate Program office on this matter and they in turn have provided me with resources from AWS. Still the probloem continues.

In the past I have provided IMWB with the actual IDs and Passwords for some of my CSB stores when attempting to resolve other issues.

Something or someone has compromised my CSB “Search for Products” feature.

Sample storefront URL (notice product ‘rotator’): https://smartphonetabletemporium.com

I performed a product purge and refresh for this store this morning – see the rotator. Then watch over 2-3 days to see “new” products emerge.

    Many thanks, Lawrence Wilson

  • That looks to be pretty much 100% the themes responsibility. Unfortunately as it’s a commercial theme, you’ll need to go back to the themes authors/vendor for support on that.

I’d also like to add that looking at the website for that theme… I’d never install it on any site that I did. It just looks like it’s a SPAM and hacking invitation. To me, everything about that screams out “we will abuse your site”. I’d have a good hard think about if you really do want ot use this exact theme.
