Import Categorys/subcategorys from .CSV file or thru API

Hello,

im using the “Marketify” theme and plugins like “Easy Digital Downloads”, EDD Frontend Submissions”, etc., to build an Digital Marketplace.

Unfortunately i need to create many Categorys, Sub-categorys, Sub-categorys of subcategorys, etc…

I thought, why not to import this kind of Categorys. In my case i need Car Categorys: Car Make, Model Year, Model Name, Car Trim. To add manually all registred Cars, model names, model years and trims, would be a lot of work so i found websites which sell this kind of .csv files which contain all the car makes, model names, model years etc.

Unfortunately i have absolutly no clue how it works. How i need to import it? I want that the Cars Makes, Models, Years, Trims will be added as Categorys to “Download Categorys – (Easy Digital Download Plugin)”.

I found this website: https://www.carqueryapi.com/ There in can buy a basic packet but it works somehow thru a script. Of course there is a documentation, but honestly i have no knowledge about API, javascript etc.

I hope someone can help me and i would even donate something, because if i get it to work it would save me a lot of work.
