Hi, please follow these instructions below.

    – FTP to your host and rename this plugin’s folder.

    – FTP the .htaccess file to your computer and edit and remove all the code between and including the tags:
    # BEGIN All In One WP Security
    # END All In One WP Security

    – Log into phpMyAdmin and locate the database for the website you are having problems with. Look for any table entry with the following name aiowps and delete those tables.

There should be 5 tables associated with this plugin:
    aiowps_events
    aiowps_failed_logins
    aiowps_global_meta
    aiowps_login_activity
    aiowps_login_lockdown

If you have successfully disabled the plugin and are able to log back in using wp-admin or wp-login, rename the folder back to it’s original name and activate the plugin. Start working on the settings.

If you enable the settings in the plugin and you are locked out again, you might have a conflict with one of your other plugins. In this case you will have to investigate which plugin is causing the problem by disabling all your other plugins and enable one by one and at the same time carrying out a test.

just tried but it doesn’t work.
    – table deleted on db (they are 6)
    – folder renamed
    – htaccess restored to default

….the login is locked and the login page (wp-login /wp-admin) are not available. any other suggestion?

The above instructions disables the plugin totally. If you still can’t log in then it is a different problem and it is not related to the plugin.

Do you see any error messages? You might have to check the server log files. If after all of the above you still can’t log in or find a solution from the log files then you will have to contact your host. Or if you have a recent backup, you might like to try restoring your website from the backup.

To correct this, you also need to rename the .htaccess file. turning off the plugin won’t disable blacklists or other blockages.
