Technical Issues. New- tons of confussion

    After months of trying to figure out wordpress, I found out the difference between wordpress.com and www.remarpro.com. I purchased a domain and am still attempting to import contents and everything is a mess….I am wondering if it is worth it. So far attempting to get forum help has only included berating responses; it is pointless to try to make anyone feel stupid…
    It is important to note that I am also at a disadvantage in that I have a google chrome which won’t accept plugin downloads at all……
    1) Reguardless of page I am in in WordPress org, the Edit button does not respond. All attempts to edit wind up with my content in wordpress.com site.
    3) How the heck do you change founts? Seems like there is less control over how site looks (???)
    4) I am using Intergalactic them and I am trying to change the order and control how many posts are on one page.
    5) One of my blog posts that I imported is set as my home page and it won’t allow me to change this

    Any KIND help would be appreciated and thank you in advance
