    Hello team!

    I would like to know if there is a way how to disable storing the original image files (located in .original folder). After half year of usage, my website eats 20GB and 19GB are original images in my galleries.
    This is one gallery from 55 I already created: https://oi63.tinypic.com/i3s4ko.jpg

    I set the maximum size for uploaded image files, which works fine, so it crops the images, but the original image are stored too (not deleted after cropping).

    Thank you

    Regards,
    Tomas

    @dvojka,

    If you do not plan to make changes in image thumbnails you can manually remove original image folder.

    Hello Sona,

    thank you for answer. Yes I can remove original images, but isn’t there a possibility to disable storing those original images at least in the code?

    Thumbnail should be always smaller then the maximum size of the uploaded image specified in plugin’s settings, so for me it makes more sense to create thumbnail from those cropped images, not from original ones.

    @tomas,

    This cannot work, since if you crop the thumbnail and decide to change the cropped image cutting it from another location you will no longer be able to do so. That is why we keep the original image. Creating thumbnails from original images vs. largest dimension image makes the image thumbnails to be high quality. Thank you.
