• Okay, here’s my problem. I’m using WordPress 2.3.3 in combination with PodPress to run my website for my podcast. When you go to my podcast’s page on the iTunes Store, the title is listed as “The Geekfest Podcast >> Podcasts”. The ” >> Podcasts” should not be there.

    I ran my feed’s address through Feed Validator, and this is what I found:

    <channel>
    	<title>The Geekfest Podcast ? Podcasts</title>
    	<link>https://www.geekfestpodcast.com</link>
    	<description>Get your geek on!</description>

    So, I see where the ” >> Podcasts” part is coming from. I’m assuming iTunes pulls that info from my feed, so, getting rid of that info in my feed should fix things. For what it’s worth, my media file’s Album Title is also “The Geekfest Podcast >> Podcasts,” which is also wrong.

    The problem is this: I have not entered “>> Podcasts” anywhere in any WordPress or PodPress entry field. My file info in Garage Band (Mac) does not say “>> Podcasts.”

    So, I said all of that to ask this: Where do I go to get rid of the “>> Podcasts” in my RSS/XML feed?

    This is driving me nuts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I would also like to know how to get rid of the “>> Podcast”. I am running WP 2.3.2 w/Podpress 8.8. When I upgraded to 8.8 it added that “>> Podcast” and it is totally redundant.

    I think I have a clue though where it comes from. I am “category casting” meaning that my feed is not my main site feed, it is just the feed for the category “Podcast”. So I think that it is pulling the feed title and the category title somehow. Not sure if that is a WP thing or a PP thing, but I was category casting before I upgraded to 8.8 so maybe it is a PP thing? Anybody got a clue how to fix it?
