    I am try to use the tool to add sub-categories to an existing parent.

    The parent is Colorado and the slug for the category is CO

    If I use the tool to create sub-categories like this:

    Colorado
    * Denver
    * Boulder

    I end up with a new category created – called Colorado and with the slug COLORADO.

    If I try to create sub-categories like this:

    CO (adding to the existing slug labelled CO)
    * Denver
    * Boulder

    I end up with a new category created – called CO and with the slug CO.

    How can I achieve what I want here? Do you do something like:

    Colorado/CO
    * Denver
    * Boulder

    .. in order to get the new sub-categories added to the existing parent Colorado (with slug CO)?

    Thanks for assistance.

    Hi @drriley,

    That is a good question, thanks.

    Adding the terms hierarchy under a certain parent term is currently not supported. Anyway, this is a great idea for a feature in the next version of the plugin.

    So I’ve opened an issue in the GitHub repo of the plugin: https://github.com/tyxla/quick-bulk-taxonomy-term-creator/issues/10 – you can track the progress there. I’ll treat it as a priority feature for version 1.1 of the plugin.

    In the meantime, assigning the hierarchy below a new term (also created by this plugin) as a parent instead of using the existing parent (the solution you outlined above) is the possible workaround.

    Thank you for the idea.

    Regards,
    Marin
